The jig kit includes a precision machined template guide bushing with a centering pin. Guide bushings that don't include a centering
pin can be installed out of concentric with your plunge routers collet leading to inaccuracy in the resulting joinery. Our precision
template guide bushing installs perfectly concentric with your router's collet. Fits base plates with a 1-3/16" through hole
with a 1-3/8" counter bore. Other models will require the Universal Base Plate Adapter (sold separately).

"I used the jig to make a variety of mortises and found it fast and accurate. Certainly not as fast as a Domino but it is more flexible."
Raf Nathan
Australian Wood Review
Very simple to use, easy to set up. Just finished routing 80 mortises and used loose tenons. Definitely simplifies the job and ensures accuracy and repeatability. Definitely recomment it.
"I highly recommend this jig. It is well machined and works exactly as shown; a rare achievement in woodworking"
Accurately Located Mortises
The jig has precisely machined centerline indicators that allow you to perfectly center it over your layout lines. The resulting
mortise is accurately located on your stock. There is no "eye balling" of the bit to layout lines.
Multiple Mortises
You can easily make multiple mortises with Mortise Pal.
You can use Mortise Pal to make dowel joints too. Use your plunge router and the accessory doweling template to quickly
and accurately make multiple dowel joints.
Create joinery with offsets between reference faces in any increment you choose. No shims or spacers are required.
Mortises Large and Small
Mortise and tenon joinery is now easier than ever with Mortise Pal loose tenon stock. Mortise Pal loose tenons come
in four sizes. Each size is sold in 12" lengths. Simply cut to length based on your projects requirements. Use the
new Double Mortise Template to create joints with perfectly spaced multiple mortises.
Loose Tenon Joinery Made Easy!
The jig has compact overall dimensions yet provides plenty of rigid stable support for your plunge router. Your plunge router
is supported on both sides of the mortise so there is no "tipping" like when using an edge guide. Mortise Pal clamps to stock
up to 3" thick with no maximum on stock width.
Versatile Clamping Design
Mortise Pal uses templates in 4 lengths allowing mortises to 2-7/16" long with a 7/16" bit. Make mortises of virtually any length
by overlapping mortises.
Dowel Joints
2) Make layout lines on your stock.
4) Rout the mortise.
3) Center the jig over your layout lines.
"Mortise Pal is a precision machined tool that you will love, I know I do."

With Mortise Pal you can do angled and even compound angled joinery. The right image shows the jig clamped to a board
at 45 degrees to make a mortise for a mitered joint using loose tenons. The images left show how to make a leg-rail
joint at 5 degrees by making angled shims using your table saw and placing them between your stock and the jig. Combine these
two concepts and you can do compound angled joinery.
