I built a bedroom set out of blued pine that we logged from land of ours, then milled and planed it. This year there will be more projects to keep us out of the snow.

The first time I used my Mortise Pal was for the walnut face frames and walnut door frames for my shop cabinets. It worked like a charm, and was easy to set up and use. I am very happy with the Mortise Pal! Tom

My first ever Mortise Pal project. A sort of garden storage box for all my wife's gardening stuff. Made of some old reclaimed fir for the frame and cedar for the panels and top. There are easily 60 Mortise Pal mortises here and every one of them lined up perfectly. Not a beauty contest winner, but demonstrates, I think, how someone who hardly ever cut a mortise was able to use the MP right out of the box. The next weekend I made this garden bench to go with it. More cedar and another 40 or so mortises.

This is a circular Shoji Lamp with faux bamboo legs (maple) and a circular laminated ash frame. The vertical members are mortised into the top and bottom using the Mortise Pal. The glass top is double etched with the Japanese symbol for love. The lamp's four way touch switch is disguised in the top of the leg concealed with flat black Japanese stones. The electrical cord is concealed inside the back leg. This project was awarded the Best Detail of the 2009 Northern Woods Exhibition in Minneapolis.

This table was made from Black Walnut that I bought at an estate sale. The owner of the house had been forced to cut the tree down years ago and had the wood milled with the hopes of some day making something with it. I'm happy to be able to have done it for him.

The table is a trestle table with wedged through tenons. It measures 29"H x 38"W x 90"L. I made the trestles using the Mortise Pal to cut 1/2" x 2 1/2" mortises in the legs and rails.
